While school outreach projects are on a free of charge basis, commercial projects are developed for raising funds for technology development in abandoned mine robotics and educational ties.

Discovery Miner is developing projects that excite the elementary grade schools about Arizona's mining heritage-historical mines. This leads to participation of classes safely studying mines using robotics and old maps from Arizona mine museums. The Discovery Miner Program works with mine museums, mining corporations and companies, government agencies, and federal mine agencies in pursuit of abandoned mine danger education.
